Umbrella Faces allows a one-way synchronization from Faces to KDS via automated Files extracted from Faces and sent to KDS server to populate KDS. Only traveller profiles are synchronized.
Description
In order for Faces to be able to publish profiles to KDS, the respective travel agency has to make a project request with KDS so that the interface can be activated. After successful activation, KDS provides the agency with the necessary SFTP server credentials which have to be made known to Umbrella. Once in possession of the credentials, we can set up the necessary custom fields and internal codes that are necessary for the synchronization to work. The profiles are sorted to the various Faces companies based on the the company identifier. This is given in the similary named custom field on the company level as CODE_<company id>_<company name incl. brackets> i.e: CODE_87703_Wright Brothers (Number 3). The company ID has to be provided by KDS/ is visible within KDS. The company name under "identifier" should match the KDS company name.
P.S: Since KDS has some technical limitations, we list the particularities associated with the interface below:
- KDS Does not offer a webservice/ API interface
- The development is based on a CSV file transfer (SFTP) from Faces to KDS ( one-way)
- The synchronization is not real time. The synchronization takes place once daily from Faces to KDS
- KDS Profile "creates, modifies and deletes" are not sent to Faces. We therefore advise you to only deactivate profiles in KDS but to carry out create/modify and delete within Umbrella Faces
- Date of birth and address can only be be sent and synchronized during profile creation. If these data are edited after the profile was already created and sent to KDS then the changes are not reflected in KDS
- Mileage memberships and passport information can not be in KDS via Faces
